to apply for the job

Make a difference. Every day.

Do you want to be part of a team that truly makes life more possible? We are looking for a physiotherapist for the habilitation clinics in Ystad! We meet children and young people with movement disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and/or autism, and work to empower children, young people, and their families in everyday life.

The habilitation clinics in Ystad are divided into three teams; one team focused on adults and two teams focused on children and young people. The position is located in one of the children and young people teams. Here we work cross-professionally in teams with medical, psychosocial, and pedagogical expertise, and together with children, parents, and networks, we agree on interventions that make a difference in everyday life.

Participation and person-centeredness permeate everything we do. We work salutogenically; our interventions should be meaningful, comprehensible, and manageable for both children and families. This perspective applies not only in meetings with patients but throughout our administration. Therefore, we are looking for someone who shares Region Skåne's values and thrives in an environment where care and professionalism go hand in hand.

The habilitation in Skåne values staff development. You will have the opportunity to apply for assignments both within your own profession and in larger, cross-functional forums. Do you want to work with quality registers, resource teams, prioritization, or development work? The opportunity exists, and we encourage you to grow in your role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a physiotherapist with us, you will assess, follow up, and provide interventions regarding atypical motor development and permanent disabilities. The work aims to promote function, activity, and health and to prevent secondary complications over time.

An important part of the assignment is to conduct structured assessments together with occupational therapists and speech therapists according to national quality registers. You will participate in established follow-up programs, including the Follow-up Program for Cerebral Palsy (CPUP), focusing on early detection and prevention of hip dislocation, contractures, and severe deformities. Additionally, the operation is connected to the Quality Register for Spina Bifida and other neural tube defects (MMCUP), which aims to reduce the risk of unnecessary complications from spina bifida and other congenital or early-acquired spinal cord injuries.

Your role includes providing support, advice, and education to the patient and their network based on the consequences of the disability in everyday life. This also includes prescribing, adapting, and following up on aids. Interventions are provided individually and/or in groups, primarily via distance but also through physical meetings when needed.

The work is conducted in cross-professional teams where all professions are equally important, and collegial support and knowledge exchange are a natural part of everyday life. Collaboration with external actors is central, such as municipal activities, assistive technology services, orthopedic technology services, and psychiatry, to ensure cohesive and person-centered care.

Travel is required in the position, primarily using public transport, but a service car is available. Working hours are Mon, Wed, Thu: 08:00-16:30, Tue: 08:00-18:30, Fri: 08:00-14:30.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed physiotherapist with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare. You have language skills in Swedish equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale. A B driver's license is a requirement for the position.

We believe you are a person who communicates clearly, listens attentively, and enjoys many contact points. You have the ability to plan, prioritize, and work independently but also to collaborate closely in a team. With us, there are well-defined frameworks, but within them, you need to be secure enough in your role to act flexibly. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. A background check will be conducted before employment.

Interviews will be held on January 23 and 28. We warmly welcome your application and look forward to meeting you!
